This Bolognaise is made with tomatoes, carrots, onions and mushrooms, so contains lots of veggies and it freezes brilliantly too.

Full of iron from the beef. Iron is needed to make haemoglobin, which helps your red blood cells carry oxygen around your body.

On my Mac-Nutrition course I’ve been learning that the links between red meat and heart disease are often overstated. Most research is done on BOTH red meat and processed meat and it’s the processed meat that is bad for your health. If you are healthy and eat a varied diet rich in natural foods, red meat is high in iron and other important nutrients. So make this Bolognaise!
